Mike Mukasey Makes Chuck Schumer Look Like A Fucking Idiot

When AG Michael Mukasey was up for Senate confirmation, I wrote a very sternly worded letter to my Senators, Clinton and Schumer, exhorting them to make sure that they didn’t vote to confirm someone who wasn’t going to uphold the rule of law and the Constitution of the United States. Schumer, a pivotal vote on the Judiciary Committee, personally vouched for Mukasey based on his long-standing knowledge of Mukasey’s prior public service as a prosecutor and judge.

Indeed, several weeks after the confirmation, PhysioProf recevied a letter back from Schumer’s office containing the following happy talk:

There is virtually universal agreement, even from those who opposed Judge Mukasey, that he would do a good job in turning the department around. Indeed, my colleagues who opposed his confirmation have gone out of their way to praise his character and qualifications. More importantly, Judge Mukasey has demonstrated his fidelity to the rule of law, saying that if he believed the president were violating the law he would resign.

While there is certainly more to do, it is my hope that Judge Mukasey will do what it takes to remove the stench of politics from the Justice Department.

Yeah, Schumer’s “hope” really worked out well, didn’t it? The idea that any individual, no matter how good their intentions and how stellar their previous public or private service, can work within the Bush regime and not end up the worst sort of craven sick depraved right-wing wackaloon motherfucking partisan hackfuck like all the rest has been proven completely, utterly false. These people are physically sick, and everyone who comes in contact with them catches the sickness.

And, as I have previously argued, it ain’t gonna be all unicorns and rainbows just because the fucking sick bastard Bush is leaving office in January:

Huge numbers of competent experts have been shitcanned, and replaced by ignorant fucking douchehounds trained at wackaloon right-wing theocratic brainwashing facilities like “Regent University” and “Liberty University”. All the experts who knew how to get shit done, to obey the Constitution, Federal laws, and Federal regulations while doing things like protecting us from crime, dangerous food, dangerous products, keeping us from being blown to smithereens by terrorists, keeping us healthy, safe, and prosperous, have been eliminated. They have been replaced by people who can’t even tie their own motherfucking shoes, but who have drank the “government can’t do shit” right-wing sick-fuck Kool-Aid, and are deadset on proving it!

The Federal beauracracy is now absolutely riddled with bottom-feeding Republican hackfucks, and not only are they incompetent, but they are vicious and hateful, and they won’t be easily rooted out. If a Democrat takes over the executive branch in January 2009, it ain’t gonna be unicorns and fucking rainbows. It is going to be a difficult, drawn-out, nasty process of identifying these viciously incompetent America-hating right-wing follower moles, getting rid of them, and replacing them with competent experts who actually give a shit about America and the well-being of its citizens.

Mukasey has proven to be a nasty sick fucking piece of shit, just like the rest. God only knows how long it’s going to take to restore the rule of law, the culture of competence, and allegiance to the Constitution back to the Federal beauracracy, which is currently riddled with demented Bush-loving America-hating wackaloon fucking traitors.
